Bobcats face Griz on Friday, Weber State Saturday, and NAU Sunday
The most crucial weekend of Montana State's regular season arrives this weekend, when the Bobcats host three men's tennis matches with qualification for the Big Sky Championship Tournament on the line.
MSU Tennis Notes
MSU hosts the Grizzlies on Friday at 3 pm, with Weber State invading the Anderson-Bobcat Tennis Center Saturday (2 pm) and NAU doing so on Sunday (1 pm). The four teams involved in this weekend's action are fighting for the final three spots in the Big Sky Championships after regular season champion Sacramento State, which finishes 8-0. NAU is 5-1, the Bobcats 4-1, Weber State 4-2, and Montana 3-2 with only this weekend's action remaining. The Bobcats will have to win one of this weekend's matches to qualify for the Big Sky tournament, which begins next Saturday in Bozeman, but one win will probably get the Bobcats in.
Bobcat seniors Pawel Turzanski and Fletcher Keyes play their final regular season home matches this weekend. Turzanski, the reigning Big Sky Player of the Week, stands 10-9 on the season, while Keyes is 10-8 with wins in six of his last seven matches. Junior Alberto Fuentes is also 10-9.
