Bobcats fall one spot in final round
In the final round, Montana State Women's Golf team dropped one spot and finished 14th out of 15 teams at the Lady Paladin Invitational on Sunday. MSU carded 1,000 (329-337-334) over three rounds of 18 to close out the fall portion of their 2011-12 schedule. (Final Results)
South Florida was the overall champion with 933 (315-316-302). East Tennessee State led the first two days of competition and fell to second overall. Tournament host Furman finished seventh with 955 (320-324-311).
Charlotte Lorentzen took medalist honors after carding 222, including finishing one stroke under on Sunday (71).
Montana State's highest finisher was Leslie McGetrick. The senior from Highlands Ranch, Colo. carded 242 (78-83-81) over 36 holes putting her in 29th place. Paige Crawford, MSU's leader after day one, placed 41st with 246 (77-86-83).
Montana State will put their clubs away for the winter before opening the 2012 part of the schedule again on March 3 at the Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Ariz.
