SENIOR: Thornton played in 20 games, including five starts. She opened the 2009-10 campaign starting the first five contests, including a 10-point night at Idaho. In the opening game of the MSU Thanksgiving Classic, she suffered an MCL injury and missed the next 11 games. On the season, she averaged 2.9 points and 2.2 rebounds. She is a four-time Big Sky Academic pick.
JUNIOR: Thornton played in 21 games for the Bobcats and averaged 7.1 minutes per contest...finished the season averaging 2.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per game...shot 40 percent from the field and 50 percent from the free throw line...posted a season-high 10 points against Eastern Washington, connecting on five-of-nine from the floor...also recorded a season-best six rebounds in MSU’s win over Eastern Washington...logged her most minutes of the season (17) at Northern Colorado, where she posted six points, two rebounds and a blocked shot...an outstanding student-athlete, was named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic for the third consecutive year...a member of MSU’s student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC).
SOPHOMORE: Played in 26 games and earned the starting nod at North Dakota State and North Dakota in December…posted a season-high 10 points against North Dakota going five-of-nine from the field…shot 43 percent from the floor for the season…averaged 8.3 minutes of action and chipped in 3.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game…notched three straight games (Utah valley, Denver, Utah State) with eight points…recorded career-high seven rebounds against Denver…earned her second consecutive All Big Sky Conference academic honor.
FRESHMAN: Played in 19 games as a true-freshman...averaged 2.0 points and 1.5 rebounds per game...ended the season shooting 45 percent from the field and 63 percent from the free throw line...had best game against Sacramento State, scoring a season-high 11 points on five-of-eight from the field and one free throw...also recorded four rebounds and a block against the Hornets...posted four blocks on the season...had season-best five rebounds against Northern Colorado...had one of her best all-around performances against Montana with seven points, three boards and two steals...was an All Big Sky Conference Academic selection.
HIGH SCHOOL: Thornton guided Pullman High School to a 21-5 overall record and a third place at the Washington State Tournament...also paced team to conference and district titles...as a senior, averaged 12 points, seven rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots per game...was a two-time second team all-league selection...was Pullman High School class valedictorian...earned seven varsity letters, including basketball, softball and soccer...guided the Greyhounds to a 53-21 record during her tenure.
