SOPHOMORE: Semansky established herself as one of the top players in the Big Sky Conference and was in the running for league player of the year honors after an outstanding sophomore season…named to the all Big Sky Conference First-Team for her efforts…finished the year averaging 12.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.8 assists per game…played in 30 games, including 30 starts…her 16.1 points per game Big Sky Conference scoring average ranked second in the league, while her 9.4 rebound average also ranked second…led Big Sky Conference shooting 53 percent from the field…also ranked among the top 30 in the nation in field goal percentage…ranked in nine Big Sky statistical categories…was selected Big Sky Conference Player of the Week on one occasion (Jan. 24)…garnered Montana State Player of the Week accolades five times…posted 21 games in double-digit scoring, including a career-high 26 points in MSU’s win at Northern Arizona…registered ten double-figure rebounding games, including career and season-best 13 boards against Weber State…recorded eight double-doubles…facing National Player of the Year candidate Brittney Griner of Baylor posted 11 points and eight rebounds, while shooting 80 percent from the field as MSU faced the Bears- who were ranked No. 2 in the country at the time…selected to the Capital One Academic All-District 7 Third-Team for her excellence in the classroom and on the court…sports a 3.97 grade-point average in elementary education.
FRESHMAN: Semansky had an outstanding freshman campaign playing in all 32 games, including 23 starts...entered starting line up on Nov. 28 following injury to senior Jamie Thornton...ended season averaging 5.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game...led Bobcats in shooting, connecting on 48 percent from the field...went 55 percent from the floor in Big Sky Conference games...recorded six double-figure scoring games, including a season-high 16 points in MSU’s win at Weber State...in same game vs. Wildcats, notched only season double-double by hauling down a season-best 11 rebounds...converted 67 percent from the free throw line...averaged 7.8 points and 6.4 rebounds in Big Sky action...recorded season-best four assists vs. UC Riverside...fourth on squad with 24 steals, with season-high of five thefts against Winthrop...notched three blocks vs. Idaho State...is a All Big Sky Conference Academic honoree.
HIGH SCHOOL: Semansky led the Highwood High Mountaineers to the Montana Class C state title and was named MVP of the state tournament...as a senior averaged 22.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 1.9 assists per game, while shooting 63 percent from the field and 72 percent from the free throw line...during her tenure at HHS, the girls basketball program posted a 101-7 overall mark, including a 26-0 mark in 2009...for her efforts, garnered her third consecutive all-state honor...as a junior, Semansky averaged 15.2 points and 8.8 rebounds as the Mountaineers claimed the Montana Class C title...was named MVP of the state tournament for her play...an outstanding athlete, also led HHS to the 2008 Montana Class C state volleyball crown...was a three-time volleyball all-state selection...in addition, was an all-state pick in track and field...placed second in the pole vault and fifth in the javelin...served as president of her National Honor Society...was a four-time academic all-state honoree and a four-time high honor roll selection.
