“Meg with her incredible lobs, craftiness and placement matched with J’s presence and incredible hands, it’s been special to see what they are doing on the court together.”
Montana State's top doubles tandem of Meg McCarty and Jojo Bach have moved up the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings to No.42 this week. They are the eighth best pairing not associated with a Power 4 school.
"We are so proud of Meg and J (Bach) for earning national recognition for their doubles ranking," said MSU head coach Suzie Woodburn. "They have worked really hard and are an impressive combo together.

McCarty, a sophomore from Bozeman, and Bach, a grad transfer from Brighton, United Kingdom, first combined last fall to win the top flight at the Bedford Cup hosted by Air Force in September. Two weeks ago, they knocked off No. 29-ranked Andrea Beltran and Marely Lambert of Denver. The tandem has an 11-1 overall mark and a 7-1 record in dual match play.
"They have so much fun and joy playing together and it's always high-quality doubles," Woodburn said. "Not only are they the highest ranked team in the Big Sky, but the highest doubles ranking in program history. They are going to help lead our team to success as conference play starts."
The Bobcats open Big Sky Conference play at Northern Arizona on Friday at 12 p.m. in Flagstaff.
