Bobcats Put Together Strong Weekend of Men's Tennis at Home, Head to Denver to Close Fall Season

MSU compiled winning record in Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center
BOZEMAN, Mont. (Oct. 28, 2025) – Montana State compiled a "great weekend of tennis" in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center, second-year head coach Mateus Ceolin said of his team's performance at the Bobcat Invitational last weekend.
Four Bobcats combined on a 7-5 record in singles play and the Cats were 5-4 in doubles action during the weekend. Sophomore Camille Chantron and freshmen Elijah Calaquian and Ethan Masselis each finished 2-1 in singles play, while freshman David Ismanescu was 1-2. Ismanescu and Yassin Elaroussy finished 2-1 in doubles action, while Chantron and Eddie Biss, Calaquian and Masselis and Oumar Diallo and Andre Stewart each split a pair of doubles matches.
" It was great to see our freshman play a few matches at home," Ceolin said. "Throughout the weekend they brought good energy and stepped up to the challenge. I was really happy with our doubles performance. That is an area that I feel we have improved a lot since the beginning of the semester."
The Bobcats finish the fall season at the University of Denver's Colorado Cup this weekend, Oct. 31 through Nov. 2. "We are looking forward to one last tournament this fall at Denver," Ceolin said. "This will be one last opportunity this fall to play against really good players from our region. Gonzaga, Air Force, and Grand Canyon will be competing in Denver."
