Bobcats Split Matches in Sokane on Friday

MSU wins doubles point twice
The Montana State men's tennis program split a pair of matches in Spokane, Washington, on Friday, beating Whitworth before losing at Gonzaga.
The Cats swept a morning match against the Pirates 7-0 at the Scotford Center on the Whitworth campus. MSU took all three doubles matches to win the doubles point, then swept the six singles matches without dropping a set.
In the afternoon at Gonzaga, the Bulldogs beat MSU 4-1. The Bobcats took the doubles point with wins at the second and third ladder spots. Eddie Biss and Yassin Elaroussy took a 6-3 win at No. 2, then Andre Stewart and Alex Vlahos took a 7-5 win at No. 3. Gonzaga took singles matches at the first, second, third, and sixth ladder spots to clinch the match. The matches at No. 4 and No. 5 went unfinished.
Montana State plays Nevada on Saturday at 10 am at Gonzaga.
