Bobcat Men's Tennis Team Wraps Up Fall Season with Solid Showing at Gonzaga Invitational

MSU's singles players, doubles tandems each achieve success
Montana State put together its best performance of the fall season at the Gonzaga Invitational in Spokane this weekend, with all three Bobcats capturing singles victories and the team's double pairing also enjoying success.
"This was certainly the best performance from the guys this fall," said Bobcat coach Mateus Ceolin. "The work they put certainly showed off in this tournament. Very happy for Harry to getting to the finals of his draw. I am starting to see how much tennis and being part of the Bobcat family means to all of these guys. This group of guys is certainly excited to the spring season."
Harrison Janes won three of his four singles matches, defeating Hayden Elliott from Portland State 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, Eric Wang from Idaho 7-5, 7-6 (6), and Tyler Dalos of Eastern Washington 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. He dropped a match to Adrin Zuellig of Portland State 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. Andre Stewart beat Yu-Shun Lia of Idaho 7-5, 3-6, 6-4, and Oscar Reshed of Gonzaga 5-7, 6-4, 7-5. He dropped a match to Sebastion Medica of Idaho, his doubles partner throughout the weekend, 5-7, 6-4, 7-5. Dmitry Bezborodov topped Duncan McCall of Montana 7-5, 6-7 (6), 6-2 before falling to Lucas Kimelman 1-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Montana State's doubles team of Janes and Bezborodov won two of three matches. Stewart and Medica split a pair of contests.
"We are still a very young group of guys," Ceolin said. "Even though Harry and Dima are on their last year of college tennis, they are all still new to each other. Our culture is very young and it will take a lot of work to fully establish a program the way we want to. This fall has certainly been the start of it. I am very proud of the work the guys have put in and how they finished this fall season."
