Montana State Men's Tennis Match Saturday Postponed Due to Bobcat Injuries

Four Cats not yet cleared to play, leaving MSU below minimum number required
BOZEMAN, Montana – The injuries that have plagued the Montana State men's tennis program continued this week, as the Bobcats postponed their match with Eastern Washington scheduled for Saturday.
The NCAA mandates five available players for a team to compete, and Montana State fails to meet that threshold due to continuing injuries to the eight-man roster. With one student-athlete unable to return to campus due to travel issues and five others injured at various times, the Bobcats have canceled eight non-conference matches and postponed two league tilts.
Four Bobcat players have yet to be cleared by the program's medical team to return to action. "We're working with our medical staff to get our student-athletes healthy and back to competition," said MSU Director of Athletics Leon Costello. "This is an unfortunate situation to say the least, but their well-being is our primary concern. We look forward to the team being able to return to action."
Costello indicated that updates will occur as information is available.
