Cats face six other regional squads
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State begins a sprint to the finish of the fall men's tennis season on Friday, when the Bobcats open play at Boise State's General Patton Classic in Boise, Idaho.
The Bobcats get together with six other schools in the region at the Appleton Tennis Center and Julia Davis Park Oct. 20-22. In all, 38 student-athletes participate in the event featuring three singles flights and one in doubles competition. Boise State hosts BYU, Eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana State, Portland State and Utah State.
Montana State's most recent tournament was two weeks ago, providing the team an opportunity for improvement in the interim. "Practice is definitely going better, weightlifting is getting better. We're getting better and looking forward to these last three tournaments of the fall."
The five Bobcats traveling this weekend are freshman Dario Ciobotaru, sophomores Adrian Daniel and Max Relic, senior Jacob Huppin, and graduate student Andras Necz.
