Limardo finished with 11 points, while senior Lexi Deden led all players with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Montana State senior Katelynn Limardo hit a timely three-pointer in overtime to lift the Bobcats to a 59-56 win over its men's scout team as part of the program's annual Blue-Gold scrimmage, Tuesday night in Worthington Arena.
Limardo finished with 11 points, while senior Lexi Deden led all players with 13 points and seven rebounds.
"We're still working on some lungs, so we were going in bigger rotations than I would've hoped," said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. "But at the same time, we also got different line up looks and that was certainly helpful. We definitely are going to have some options, and we'll probably need to play a little bit tighter with the rotations early on as we get some young kids' feet wet.
"We have a lot of upsides with this group," she added. "It's just a matter of how quickly we can grow."
The Bobcats held a 37-29 lead at intermission, but only posted four points in the third quarter.
"We had a lot of turnovers and I feel they can easily be cleaned up," Binford said. "To me that was a lot of fatigue. That's a fundamental we certainly can tighten up on our side."
For the game, MSU shot 38.3% from the field, including connecting on seven-of-27 from long distance. The Bobcats forced numerous turnovers from its scout team and collected ten steals.
"Our pressure certainly needs to pick up," Binford said. "We've got to be reliant on getting some offense out of our defense. I thought we played too much in the halfcourt."
