He was selected a team captain twice at Hampden-Sydney, and has worked as an instructor for the National Junior Tennis League for two years.
Burns joins Bareford at Montana State, which won a share of the Big Sky Conference regular season title last spring. The Bobcat doubles team of Matej Panik and Jamieson Nathan advanced to the NCAA Individual Championships last spring, and enter 2022-23 ranked 23rd nationally by the ITA.
