Bobcats Complete Opening Round at Big Sky Golf Championship

A trio of Bobcats led the Montana State golf team through the first round of the Big Sky Conference Women’s Golf Championship on Monday
MOLALLA, Ore. – A trio of Bobcats led the Montana State golf team through the first round of the Big Sky Conference Women's Golf Championship on Monday, April 19, at Arrowhead Golf Club.
Senior Kelly Hooper made her season debut for the Bobcats and led the squad through the opening 18 holes. Hooper fired a 6-over-par 78 and sits in the top 20 of the individual standings.
Montana State juniors Kameryn Basye and Hannah Rosanova follow Hooper in the standings. Basye carded a 7-over 79 and is tied for 26th overall. Rosanova, who recorded a team-high three birdies, is tied for 32nd after an 8-over 80.
Annika Danenhauer and Sofia Rodriguez Todd round out the Bobcat lineup. Danenhauer shot an 83 and Rodriguez Todd finished with a 91. The two are tied for 47th and alone in 54th, respectively, after 18 holes.
The Bobcats are tied for eighth in the team standings with Eastern Washington and Montana with all three teams tallying 320 strokes. Northern Arizona (296) sits ahead of Sacramento State (298) by two strokes. The Hornets' Corinne Viden paces the individual field with her 1-under 71.
The tournament field returns to play on Tuesday with a 9 a.m. start in Molalla.
