Bobcats Close Out Husky Classic

Several MSU athletes completed season-best efforts as the Bobcats completed weekend competition in Seattle
SEATTLE, Wash. – Montana State wrapped up the Husky Classic at Washington's Dempsey Indoor facility on Saturday, Feb. 15, as the track and field program now gears up for its final regular season home meet ahead of the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championships.
Alex Hellenberg earned MSU's highest finish of the day as she finished fourth in the women's triple jump. Her leap of 37 feet, 11.5 inches (11.57m) was a season-best mark.
Noah Majerus completed his best 800-meter run as a Bobcat on Saturday. His time of 1:52.77 led to a sixth-place showing which was the men's team's top finish.
The Bobcats had several runners appear in both the men's and women's mile races.
Cameron Carroll led MSU on the men's side by taking 21st overall. His time of 4:05.01 was a lifetime best and the ninth fastest in program history. Duncan Hamilton (4:05.92) finished 22nd, Levi Taylor (4:10.88) took 37th, Riley Collins (4:13.63) placed 42nd , Ben Perrin (4:14.40) came in at 45th, Gannon Chamberlain (4:14.51) took 47th and Cooper West crossed in at 4:17.03 for 52nd overall.
Lexi Kyro and Gillian Maness each completed personal-best times in the women's mile. Kyro finished 32nd in a time of 4:56.42 and Maness placed 35th with a mark of 4:56.78.
Senior McKenna Ramsay took 16th overall in the women's 800 behind a season-best time of 2:13.31.
The Bobcat track and field program returns to Bozeman for their final meet of the 2019-20 indoor season. Montana State hosts the Big Sky Tuner on Friday, Feb. 21, inside Worthington Arena.
