Jacob Huppin to join Bobcat men's tennis team in August
BOZEMAN, Montana – Jacob Huppin, one of the top prep tennis players in the Northwest, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to join the Bobcat men's tennis program next fall, MSU coach Trey Morris announced.
Huppin is rated as a four-star recruit by tennisrecruiting.net, ranking 115th nationally and second in the state of Washington. An excellent student, Huppin stands second in his graduating class at Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane, Washington, and has been an Honor Roll student each year in high school. He plans to major in chemical engineering at Montana State.
"Jacob is a player that we are extremely excited about," Morris said. "He is highly motivated and aligns very closely with our goals as a staff and tennis program. Getting an American player of his caliber shows the direction that our tennis program, athletic department, and Montana State University as a whole, are heading."
Huppin advanced to the round of 32 at the USA National Hard Court Championships, and placed third in the Pacific Northwest Sectionals.
