Alex Flink, Drew Brown Earn All-Big Sky Men's Tennis Honors

Flink honored for singles, doubles play
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State senior Alex Flink earned all-conference honors for the first time in his career on Friday, the Big Sky Conference announced.
Flink, from Stockholm, Sweden, completed his senior season with a 9-7 record in singles play, including an 6-4 mark in Big Sky play. The most dramatic moment of his career came near the end, when he beat Montana's Alex Canellopoulos in his penultimate match as a Bobcat. That win sparked his team to a 4-3 win over the Grizzlies. Flink won three of his last four singles matches.
"Alex really had a good senior season," said Bobcats coach Jared Burnham. "He stayed steady throughout and he finished strong. That's not easy to do at No. 1 singles, and against the kind of difficult non-conference schedule we play, but so I'm proud of his persistence and determination."
Flink and junior Drew Brown (Victoria, Texas) also earned honorable mention honors in doubles play. They finished 6-5 overall, 4-3 in conference matches.
