Four-time defending Big Sky Conference champion Idaho defeated Montana State 6-1 in league action on Saturday morning. The match was played at Lewis and Clark State.
LEWISTON, Idaho – Four-time defending Big Sky Conference champion Idaho defeated Montana State 6-1 in league action on Saturday morning. The match was played at Lewis and Clark State.
Idaho took the first point of the match with victories at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles. Montana State's Annie Walker and Sarah Cheverie pulled-out a 7-6 decision at the No. 3 doubles spot on the ladder.
The Vandals held the momentum and secured the match taking the top of the order with victories at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 singles. Bobcat sophomore Enni Zander continued an outstanding weekend for MSU recording Montana State's lone point defeating Anna Stefani in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
MSU faces LC State on Saturday night looking for its first victory of the season.
