Montana State’s Mary and Philippova Garner All-Big Sky Conference Tennis Accolades

Montana State sophomore Laura Mary and senior Angelina Philippova earned All-Big Sky Conference accolades for their efforts on the tennis courts this spring, announced the Big Sky Conference office on Friday afternoon.
Mary, a product of Eaubonne, France, was named to the second-team all-conference singles team after playing 19 of 21 matches at the top spot for the Bobcats. Mary finished the season with a 10-11 overall mark, but was 6-5 in Big Sky play.
Philippova, a native of Astrakhan, Russia, was named to the honorable-mention singles squad after registering MSU's best mark with an 11-8 overall record. Philippova, who earned all-league honors in 2016 and will become a four-time Big Sky All-Academic honoree, notched an 8-3 ledger during conference play, and rode a seven-match winning streak late in the season.
