Kelly Hooper shoots a career-best round and Clare Dittemore plays consistent through two rounds to lead Bobcats into final day at Old Works in Anaconda
ANACONDA, Mont. – Sophomore Kelly Hooper shot 4-under-par during the second round and junior Clare Dittemore fired consecutive rounds of 75 and 74 to lead the Montana State women's golf team through the first day of the Battle at Old Works on Monday, Sept. 11, at Old Works Golf Club.

She's currently tied for eighth overall at 2-over (146) and is tied for third among all players in par 3 average (3.00)
Dittemore shot 3-over in the first round and 2-over in the afternoon and is in 16th with a 5-over-par (149) heading into the final round Tuesday. She has the best score on par 3s among all 45 players in the tournament (2.75) and her seven birdies are third most overall.
The Bobcats sit in seventh place with a two-round 606. Montana State shot a 311 in the first round, then responded with a 295 to finish out first day action. That team score would have been the Bobcats' second-best round total a year ago.

Schulz shot 79-76 (155) and is 29th in the individual standings. Her second-round score was the second best of her collegiate career.
Elliott fired a 79 and 77 for a two-round score of 156, good for a tie for 30th. Navarre, making her Bobcat debut, completed back-to-back 79s for a 158. She is currently in 36th.
North Dakota State leads the team competition with a 584 (284-300) and is followed by CSUN (588) and Santa Clara (591). Montana's Baylee Barckley is on top of the individual standings at 2-under-par, while NDSU's Natalie Roth and Santa Clara's Chloe Wong are tied for second at 1-under.
