Bobcats Drop Narrow Decision to Idaho State in Men's Tennis on Sunday

Bobcats start strong, finish strong, struggle in between
Montana State won match's first point and its last, but struggled in between in dropping a 4-3 Big Sky men's tennis match to Idaho State on Sunday.
The Bobcats won the doubles point on their home courts, but could capture only two of the six singles matches. Bobcat junior Rok Sitar earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3 over Josh Goodwin, while Dylan Harvala won 7-5, 6-3 over Keegan Sullivan on the sixth line. ISU's Sebastian Edin earned a hard-fought 7-6, 7-5 win over Kellen Bates, MSU's lone senior, then Bjorn Scheepbouwer clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Kasper Parlklo.
"The doubles competition didn't begin will for MSU. Francis Filipovic and Quentin Wacquez earned a 6-4 win on the third line to open the day's results, but MSU countered quickly. Bates and Adrian Torrico got the leveler at No. 2, then Sitar and Alex Flink took the match at No. 1 to clinch the doubles point.
Montana State dropped its second straight league match to fall to 4-3 in Big Sky play, 5-12 overall. Idaho State is now 11-8 overall, 6-4 in Big Sky play. The Cats visit Idaho on Saturday and Eastern Washington on Sunday next weekend.
