Montana State started its regular season-closing road trip with a bang Friday, topping Southern Utah 7-0 in Cedar City.
Montana State started its regular season-closing road trip with a bang Friday, topping Southern Utah 7-0 in Cedar City.
The Bobcats rolled through Southern Utah without dropping a set. Harry James won at No. 3 6-0, 6-0, and Rok Sitar followed at No. 4 with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Only two T-Birds singles players won as many as four games in any set. The Bobcats won the doubles point in a clean sweep, as well.
"The guys played very well today," said MSU coach Jared Burnham. "They competed well and played relaxed. We've been playing pretty good tennis for a few weeks, and that continued (Friday)."
Montana State finishes the regular season Saturday at NAU. Match time is 1 pm. The Cats play in the Big Sky Tournament in Sacramento next week.
