Bobcat Men's Tennis Team Falls in Missoula on Sunday

Grizzlies win doubles point, hold off Bobcats rally
The start was the story.
Montana State dropped the doubles point at Montana on Sunday, and fell one singles match short in its bid to top the Grizzlies in men's tennis Sunday afternoon. The Bobcats fell 4-3.
Trailing 1-0 heading into singles play after UM took all three doubles matches, two in very close fashion, the Bobcats fell further behind when Montana's Tomasz Soltyka topped Dylan Harvala 6-1, 6-2 at the bottom ladder spot. But Kellen Bates posted a 6-3, 6-1 decision at No. 1, and when Harry James beat Yannick Schmidl 6-4, 7-5 the Bobcats had drawn even, 2-2.
"The guys played very well today, and we had some momentum during singles play," said MSU coach Jared Burnham. "Our young guys have played almost a full season, buth they're still facing situations they haven't seen before. I like that we're still working hard and still getting better."
UM's Victor Casadevall came from behind to beat Bobcat freshman Mateus Ceolin 2-6, 6-2, 6-2, and Peter Mimnagh-Fleming clinched the match with a 7-5, 1-6, 6-2 victory over another Cat freshman, Alex Flink. Rok Sitar won at No. 4, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) to close the match.
The Bobcats close the regular season at Southern Utah (Friday at 10 am) and Northern Arizona (Saturday at 1 pm), before competing in the Big Sky Tournament beginning April 29 in Sacramento. MSU is now 5-11 on the season, 5-4 in Big Sky play.
