CALIFORNIA BOUND: The Montana State women's basketball team traveled to UC Davis of Tuesday and will face the Aggies on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. (MST) in the Pavilion. The contest will be the first meeting between the two schools. UC Davis is 3-0 on the season, after knocking off Pacific on Monday night 95-87 in Stockton. The Aggies have been paced this season by Pele Gianotti, a 5-11 junior forward, who is averaging 17 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Four of UCD's starting five average in double-figures. The Aggies were picked to finish second in the Big West Conference preseason coaches' poll. The Bobcats will travel to Stockton, Calif., on Thanksgiving game in preparation for the Tiger Turkey Tip-Off on Friday and Saturday. MSU will face Pacific on Friday night. The Tigers are 2-2 overall after dropping a 95-87 decision to UC Davis on Monday night. MSU holds a 6-1 all-time series lead over the Tigers. The last time the two schools met was Dec. 22, 2010 with the Bobcats coming out on top 107-58 in Bozeman. UoP has been led this season by GeAnna Luaulu-Summers, a 5-9 junior guard, who is averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds per contest. The game will also be a reunion of sorts for the Bobcats coaching staff, as former long-time MSU associate head coach Amy Starr is in her second season with Pacific. On Saturday, the Bobcats will face Santa Clara. The two squads have met twice with MSU leading 2-0. The last meeting was Nov. 27 1987 at Santa Clara.
