Bobcats Head to Cougar Cup for Second Fall Tourney

Montana State women's golf team will play in the Cougar Cup, hosted by Washington State at Palouse Ridge on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament will consist of three rounds, two of which will be played on Monday with the final round on Tuesday morning.
"I'm looking forward to competing at Washington State again," head coach Brittany Basye said. "Palouse Ridge is a great course that demands focus and smart play. All but two have seen this course, so that should give us an advantage if we take it. The greens are tricky and large so we need to be smart when hitting approach shots and getting the ball in the hole. We want to continue to play our best and make every shot count. We can't leave anything out there and need to stick to our game plan for this course."
Basye brings three golfers who have played Palouse Ridge before and two freshman who will see action in their second collegiate tournament. Jaylee Tait, Janelle Reali and Kati Greear will be joined by freshmen Clare Dittemore and Natassja Meredith. Two additional players, Haylee Foldvord and Lauren Hausauer, will be joining the team, playing as individuals.
Montana State will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning against a strong field of teams, including Big Sky Conference competitors Eastern Washingont, Idaho, Montana and Sac State. CSU-Fullerton, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Seattle, British Columbia and Washington State make up the rest of the schools in the tournament.
