Folkvord, Keller lead the way
Junior Haylee Folkvord fired a team-low 74 to lead Montana State to a fifth-place finish at the Bobcat Spring Invitational in Goodyear, Ariz., on Tuesday.
Folkvord and freshman Pari Keller, playing as a scoring team member for the first time, marked three-round totals of 234 to pace MSU over the two-day event. Jaylee Tait was one stroke behind, and Kati Greear was just two strokes behind the team leaders. Lauren Hausauer shot a 246, while Bergen Buck, playing as an individual, shot a 250.
Grand Canyon won the event with an 899, while Montana's 919 was good for second. British Columbia was third (927), and Southern Utah fired a 931 to finish fourth and hold off MSU (939).
