Bobcat Golfers Head to Palouse for Second Fall Tourney

MSU faces strong regional field
The Montana State women's golf team heads west Monday, travelling to Pullman, Wash., for the 2014 Cougar Cup. Bobcat head coach Brittany Basye sees the event as a good measuring stick.
"We played this course and this tournament last year, and it is a challenge," Basye said. "We need to be on top of our game. This is a good course and you can score well if you play smart and don't let it sneak up on you with foolish errors."
The same Bobcat lineup travels to the team's second tournament of the fall as played in the first. Katie Greear travels to play hear her hometown of Moscow, Idaho. Joining the junior are Jaylee Tait (fr., Littleton, Colo.), Janelle Reali (so., Livermore, Calif.), Haylee Folkvord (jr., Three Forks), and Lauren Hausauer (jr., Bozeman).
The Bobcats play 54 holes – the first 36 on Monday – facing Washington State, BYU, Weber State, Idaho, Portland State, Seattle, Eastern Washington, Sacramento State and UM. "It will be a good test of our patience and course management," Basye said. "I expect the team to come out playing strong, and we'll need to finish strong."
