Brandes Earns Big Sky Player of the Week Honors

Bobcat junior earns third honor of season
Niklas Brandes added his third Big Sky Men's Tennis Player of the Week honor of the season on Tuesday when the league lauded him for his efforts in leading the Bobcats to wins over Northern Colorado and North Dakota last weekend.
Brandes, a junior, earned straight set victories at No. 1 singles against North Dakota's Ryan McGuigan (6-2, 6-2) and Northern Colorado's top player Ben Gendron (6-4, 6-1). Brandes also teamed with Harry James to earn doubles victories in both matches. Brandes extended winning streaks to five in both singles and doubles.
Brandes also shared the honor two weeks ago and won it on February 18. He and the Bobcats host the final home match of the season Friday against Eastern Washington at 1 pm.
