Bobcats face first in-state matches of season Thursday, Sunday
After ranging far and wide for the first three weeks of the 2013 men's tennis season, Montana State is finally working its way toward home. The Bobcats play at MSU-Billings on Thursday at 2 pm before hosting its first match of the season on Sunday, a league tilt against Southern Utah at 11 am.
MSU-Billings enters its home opener Thursday fresh off an upset win over 41st-ranked Sonoma State in Phoenix. The Yellowjackets finished 1-3 at the Grand Canyon Invitational. Christian Fischer registered wins in three of the four matches.
Southern Utah's first matches are this weekend in Bozeman and Missoula. MSU has compiled a 3-4 record early in the season, but the Bobcats have bolted to a 2-0 start in Big Sky play with road wins over Northern Colorado and Portland State. Javier Martin-Morillas is off to a hot start for the Bobcats.
