MSU Holds Off Pilots for Road Win

Colbert, Davis score 19 each to lead Bobcats
Montana State scored on its last four full possessions, hitting one field goal and five of its six free throws, to earn a 72-69 road win over the University of Portland on Sunday.
Senior forward Flavien Davis and sophomore guard Marcus Colbert each scored 19 points to lead MSU. Portland led by as many as 11 points in the first half, but the Bobcats used a 6-0 run before the half to trim the Pilots' halftime lead to 32-30 and held the lead for all but three minutes of the second half.
The Bobcats converted 20 of 31 free throw attempts, holding Portland to just 10-for-12 from the line. MSU forced 15 Pilots turnovers, while committing just 10. Davis' 19 points came set a season-high, a point better than the 18 points he scored last time out against Walla Walla. Colbert has now scored at least 10 in four of his last five games.
MSU raised its record to 4-5 after winning four of its last six games. Portland falls to 6-4 with a loss.
