Montana State is enjoying a two game win streak with its most recent victory an 89-69 decision over Denver. MSU will play at the Florida International Thanksgiving Classic this weekend in Miami. The Bobcats open with Villanova, Friday at 6 p.m. (MST). MSU will face either FIU or Valpo, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m./1 p.m.

The Bobcats open with Villanova, Friday at 6 p.m. (MST). MSU will face either FIU or Valpo, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m./1 p.m.
* Montana State will meet Villanova for the first time on Friday night at the FIU Thanksgiving Classic. All four teams will have Saturday off, before concluding play on Sunday. The Bobcats are 1-0 against Valpo and FIU. MSU defeated Florida International 58-57 on a neutral court on Nov. 14, 2011, and Valpo, 71-55, also on a neutral court on Nov. 26, 2011.
* Montana State is on a two-game winning streak, after defeating MSU Billings (58-49) and Denver (89-69) last week. Against the Pioneers on Sunday afternoon, six Bobcat players reached double-figure scoring, led by sophomore forward Jasmine Hommes with a career-high 18 points on 9-11 from the field.
* Montana State continues to handle the ball well in the early season, averaging just 10.8 turnovers per game. Defensively, the Bobcats are forcing its opponents into 19.0 miscues per contest.
* Montana State is shooting a respectable 78 percent from the foul line. Five players have missed just one free throw or less, led by Kalli Durham at a perfect 12-of-12 at the line.
* Villanova is off to a 5-0 start for the first time since 2002-03. That 2002-03 team began the year 6-0 and ended the season with a 28-6 overall record, the Big East Tournament championship and a berth in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
* Villanova is led in scoring by junior center Emily Leer who is averaging 12.4 points per game. The Wildcats have three other players averaging double figures in points including senior guard Devon Kane (11. ppg.) along with junior forward Lauren Burford (10.0 ppg.) and sophomore guard Caroline Coyer (10.0 ppg.). Sophomore forward Kavunaa Edwards leads the team in rebounds at 8.4 per game.
* Villanova will be making its third all-time appearance in the Florida International Thanksgiving Classic.
* Villanova head coach Harry Perretta is in his 36th year with the Wildcats. Perretta led Villanova to its 10th NCAA Tournament appearance last year by guiding the Wildcats to a 21-11 overall record.
A FULL PLATE:
Senior Ashley Brumwell has a lot on her plate. In addition to her playing gig, the 5th-year senior is also student-teaching at Bozeman High in the math department. Brumwell (formerly Albert) was hampered with foul trouble vs. Denver, but finished with 11 points, three rebounds and three blocked shots. She is now fourth on MSU's all-time career blocked shot chart with 97 swats.
ENERGIZER BUNNY:
Jackie Elliott continued her stellar play with 12 points in MSU's win over Denver last Sunday. In addition, the 6-foot forward chipped in four rebounds, two steals, an assist and one blocked shot. She leads the team shooting 57% from beyond the arc. Elliott, who was the 2010-11 Montana Gatorade Soccer Player of the Year and a 16-time All-State Academic pick as a prepster, is majoring in Bio-Engineering.
FROM THE TOWN THAT MADE VIOLET BEAUREGARDE FAMOUS:
Miles City, Montana product Kalli Durham got off to a great start in the season-opener leading the Bobcats against Cal State Northridge with a team-high 21 points- just two points shy of her career-high 23 point output against Clemson last November. Against Denver, she continued to have the hot-hand recording 12 points on five-of-13 from the field. Durham also added five assists and four rebounds to help lift MSU to the win. She currently leads the team shooting 100% (12-12) at the line. Durham had 16 double-figure scoring games, last winter.
ALL IN THE FAMILY:
Jasmine Hommes has started all four games for MSU this season, and against Denver had a career performance with 18 points, connecting on nine-of-11 from the field. The game was even more special as she accomplished the feat in front of her mom and aunts from out-of-state. Hommes is the niece of former Bobcat and Big Sky MVP Blythe Hommes-Hintz and former MSU and Big Sky All-Conference performer Brooke Hommes-Svendsen. Hommes' aunts made a combined 130 starts for the Bobcats- Blythe Hommes-Hintz 78 - Brooke Hommes-Svendsen 52.
BABY TALK:
After taking last year off on maternity leave, junior point-guard Ausha Cole has returned to the Bobcat starting line-up. Cole had ten points against Denver hitting three-of-six from the field. The native of Mesa, Ariz., also added five assists, two steals and a rebound in thirty-one minutes of action. Her biggest fan, Kadence, celebrated her first birthday on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
STOCK AND DAWK:
Sophomore guard Lindsay Stockton notched nine points, three assists and two against Denver, coming off the bench. The Gonzaga Prep grad saw 11 minutes of action against the Pioneers. Sophomore forward Alexa Dawkins saw 18 minutes of action and tallied a career-high 10 points on five-of-eight from the floor. She also added two rebounds, an assist and a steal. The Bobcat duo hails from a strong athletic lineage. Lindsay is the daughter of legendary NBA Hall of Famer John Stockton, while mother Nada played volleyball at Gonzaga. Dawkins' father Dale played football on the University of Miami's 1987 National Championship team. Dawkins later went on to play wide receiver for the New York Jets from 1990-93.
THE THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER:
Senior forward Emily Allen from Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia came off the bench and hit a big 3-pointer for the Bobcats in the win over Denver. In addition, Allen pulled down five rebounds, dished out three assists and notched one steal in twenty minutes of action.
FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS:
Redshirt freshman Margreet Barhoum, who came off the bench and gave the Bobcats seven minute of playing time. The Edmonds, Wash., is averaging 4.0 points per game and has connected on eight-of-10 charity tosses this season.
DeNOTE ON DeWIT:
Montana State sophomore center Kayla DeWit came off the bench and recorded four points and five rebounds in MSU's win over Denver. DeWit helped the Bobcat bench outscore the Pioneer bench 26-7.
BUELLER, BUELLER, BUELLER:
Sophomore Peyton Ferris, who averaged 2.4 points and 2.0 rebounds last winter, is sidelined with a leg injury. She is listed as day-to-day.
