It's been a long time since the Bobcats hit the hardwood in Grand Forks, but after nearly 50 years they do so again Saturday in the first-ever Big Sky matchup between the two schools. Tipoff is at 1 pm MT Saturday.
Montana State rides momentum of its first road win of the season into Grand Forks, a 69-66 come-from-behind victory on Thursday, while UND lost to Montana at home. Calen Coleman led the Bobcats off the bench with 16 points, while Paul Egwuonwu blocked three shots and Michael Dison added three steals.
Montana State benefited from hot shooting and amped-up defense down the stretch. MSU shot 56.5% after halftime, its best half of the season against a Division I opponent, while holding Northern Colorado to a 2-for-8 shooting effort with five turnovers in the last seven minutes.
After Saturday's contest, the Bobcats return home to prepare for a game at league-leading Montana on Saturday, January 19.
