Diego Campos earns win for MSU
Diego Campos earned Montana State's only win, as Sacramento State beat the Bobcats 6-1 in Big Sky men's tennis action in Bozeman on Saturday.
Campos grabbed a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Marek Marksoo in no. three singles, handing Marksoo only his fourth loss on the season against 11 wins. Several other Bobcats remained competitive, particularly Lander Jewett, who dropped a three-set decision to Sean Kolar.
“I thought we played well at times,” said MSU coach Mike Phillips. “We had some very close matches, and we competed hard.”
Montana State hosts Northern Colorado in an Easter doubleheader on Sunday. The women's match begins at 9 am, with the men to follow.
