Bobcat Freshman Earns Big Sky Player of the Week Honors... Again

Brandes lands league kudos for second straight week
Niklas Brandes won two matches last weekend, and for his effort won his second straight Big Sky Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors, the league office announced Tuesday.
A redshirt freshman from Nordenham, Germany, Brandes extended his recent hot play by topping Scott Sears of #45 Boise State in thrilling fashion at no. one singles Friday. Brandes won 6-7 (9-7), 7-6 (7-5), 10-7 in a match in which each set went to tie-breaker. Brandes then teamed with Markus Schleuter to defeat BSU's top doubles team, 8-5. Brandes raises his record to 3-3 in singles play and 3-4 in doubles play, with a two-match winning streak in each.
The Bobcats host Montana on Saturday at 10 am at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
