Montana State Billings rallied from an 11-point deficit with seven-minutes, 44-seconds remaining to stun Montana State 57-54, Saturday afternoon in an exhibition game for the Yellowjackets and a counter for the Bobcats in Worthington Arena.

Montana State (7-4) imploded down the stretch converting just one-of-nine field goal attempts, while committing four turnovers in the final 7:44 of the contest. MSU Billings (8-2) took advantage of MSU's poor shooting connecting on seven-of-13 over the same span, sparked by six points via Kayleen Goggins, including a pair of free throw makes with 16-seconds left.

“We were out-played, out-worked and lacked energy,” said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. “We didn't establish a low post presence and we didn't get good post touches.

“Hopefully, we can use this as a good thing and be better prepared for Portland State on Thursday night,” Binford said.

The Bobcats looked to be in command building a 37-28 advantage at intermission after shooting 57 percent from the field in the opening stanza.

Following halftime, MSU's Latisha Adams hit a short jumper to give the Bobcats a 39-28 cushion, but the Yellowjackets responded to close to within 41-40 at the 12:08 mark.

The Bobcats quickly regrouped with an 11-0 run capped by another Adams basket to take a 51-40 advantage with 7:44 left, before things started to unravel.

Montana State, who shot 45 percent for the game, hit at a paltry 30 percent clip in the second period. MSU Billings ended the contest shooting 33 percent from the field.

The Bobcats out-rebounded the Yellowjackets 39-34, but MSU gave up eight offensive boards in the second half.

Montana State committed 19 turnovers for the game, while MSU Billings posted just 10 miscues.

Montana State was paced by Adams and Rachel Semansky with 11 points, apiece. Semansky notched her 20th career double-double with a game-high 10 rebounds.

MSU Billings was led by Bobbi Knudsen with 15 points and seven rebounds.

The Bobcats will play at Portland State on Thursday night.
