The three day championship is being held at Ocotillo Golf Club, a 6,162 yard, par 72 course, and hosted by Northern Arizona. This is the third consecutive season the tournament has been played at Ocotillo.
Through both the fall and spring seasons, MSU enters the tournament with two Bobcats ranked in the top-20 of the Big Sky Conference (BSC). Paige Crawford, who has steadily improved throughout her debut season sits at 19th (79.50, 20 rounds) while junior Leslie McGetrick is ranked 20th (79.56, eight rounds).
As a team, MSU is positioned in fourth place through the fall and spring and sixth in the spring only. Portland State currently holds the top spot in both conference polls. Montana State's highest finish under head coach Leslie Spalding's direction was sixth in 2010. The Bobcats won the conference title in 1995.
“We're excited to get back on the course,” said Spalding. “Our goal this year is to finish in the top three and really maximize our potential.”
MSU will tee off beginning at 7:15 a.m. on Monday and will be paired with Weber State (Utah) and Portland State (Ore.).
