2018-19 Season
Indoor (Sophomore): Did not compete in any meets.
2017-18 Season
Indoor (Freshman): Competed in three events for the Bobcats at the Big Sky Indoor Championships … Member of MSU’s runner-up 4x400 relay team that set a new school-record time of 3:13.77 … Also took 12th in the 400 (49.01) and finished 15th in a lifetime-best 22.16 seconds … Mark was the ninth fastest in program history … Placed first overall at the Big Sky Tuner on Feb. 16 in the 400 … Finished among top three individuals in eight events over course of the season.
Outdoor (Freshman): Completed season at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships … Placed ninth overall in the 400 and finished sixth as part of MSU’s 4x100 relay squad … Set a personal-best time of 48.78 in the 400 at the Triton Invitational on April 14 … Mark was tied for 11th on the Big Sky performance list … Also participated in California at the Beach Invitational on April 21.
High School: A four-time letterwinner in track and field, along with multiple letterwinner in football, at Post Falls High School ... Made three trips to the IHSAA 5A Track and Field State Championships ... Set lifetime bests at the state meet in the 400 and 200 as a senior, winning the 400 with a time of 48.33 and placing third in the 200 (21.76) ... Broke school records in the 200, 400 and the 4x200 as a senior and racked up seven event victories ... Had success as an underclassmen, being named Team MVP and the Most Improved Athlete as both a junior and sophomore ... Originally set his first school record in the 400 as a junior and eventually earned fourth at the state meet in the 400 ... Finished no worse than fourth in the 400 that season and also earned four runner-up finishes ... Was a two-time all-league wide receiver for the Trojans ... Plans to pursue a degree in psychology.
Personal: Son of Natalie and Jeff Hinz ... Sister, Wednesday, competed on the Idaho track and field team from 2013-17 ... Plans to major in psychology.
