Prettyman's Performance History & Personal Bests
2020-21 Season: Competed in two meets, one apiece during indoor and outdoor schedules … Ran in the 60 in a home dual and ran a 100 dash at the Hornet Invitational (March 20).
2019-20 Season
Indoor (Freshman): Joined MSU’s all-time top 10 list in multiple events … Converted time of 21.71 in the 200 at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational on Feb. 13 tied for fourth in program history … Joined top 10 in the event with his first-place finish at the MSU Dual Meet Invitational on Jan. 24 … Placed first in the 60 in his collegiate debut at the Bobcat Preview (Dec. 6) with a time of 6.90 seconds. His converted time put him in a tie for fifth in the Bobcat record book … Competed in six overall meets for the Bobcats … Ended season taking 11th in the 60 and 17th in the 200 at the Big Sky Conference Championships … Also a member of the fourth-place 4x400 relay squad at the Big Sky meet … Named to the Big Sky Winter and Spring All-Academic Teams … Selected as a letterwinner by the coaching staff.
Background: Made an impact for Salt Lake City's East High School in track and field throughout his prep career ... Graduated in 2019 ... Earned his first trip to the UHSAA State Championships as a freshman, earning fifth in the 100, seventh in the 200 and sixth in the long jump at the 4A meet ... Made his move up the podium as a sophomore ... Claimed a regional title in the 100 and finished among the top three in the long jump and the 200 ... Topped his efforts at the state championships, earning gold medals in all three events ... Also took first in the events over the summer at the USATF Utah and Region 11 Junior Olympic Championships ... Best prep season came during his junior year ... Finished first over 20 times during his high school's season ... Took region championship titles in both sprint events and placed third in the long jump ... Repeated his first-place showings in the 100 and 200 as the Leopards moved up in state classification to the 5A level and he also placed second in the long jump ... During the summer, Prettyman advanced to the USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Championships and took 14th in the 100 and 17th in the 200 competing among the best prep track and field athletes in the nation. By the end of his junior year, he established personal bests of 10.61 seconds in the 100 and 21.34 seconds in the 200 ... Also owns a personal best of over 23 feet in the long jump ... Despite having to miss several meets during the 2019 outdoor season, Prettyman placed seventh in the 100 and 14th in the 200 at the State Championships as a senior.
