Reed Brown enters his first season as a graduate assistant for Montana State men's basketball in 2024-2025.
The native of Portland, Oregon, spent the 2023-2024 season as an assistant coach at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, helping the Pirates go 20-9 with a Northwest Conference tournament title and a second round appearance at the NCAA Tournament.
In his role as assistant coach, Brown helped with player development, created scouting reports, tracked all offensive possessions, assisted with practice planning and in-game adjustments, and helped identiy prospective student-athletes.
Brown, who competed for the Pirates from 2017-2021, was a Northwest Conference Scholar Athlete in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, and graduated with a degree in business administration in 2021. He is currently pursuing a master's degree at Montana State in sport and coaching sciences
