Bobcats Earn Men's Tennis Win Over Whitworth

Montana State earns clean sweep in 2026 home debut
BOZEMAN, Mont. (Jan. 31, 2026) – Montana State captured the doubles point and kept on rolling, sweeping Whitworth 7-0 in men's tennis action at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center on Saturday.
The Cats started strong, sweeping the doubles matches to earn the day's first point. Freshman David Ismanescu took a 6-1, 6-2 to open singles scoring, and Yassin Elaroussy followed quickly with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3. Then Andre Stewart clinched the team result with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles. David Ismanescu, Eddie Biss and Max Calaquian finished off the win.
"I'm happy with the effort and the professionalism our guys approached the match with today," said MSU coach Mateus Ceolin. "I liked our performances in both doubles and singles. They took care of the task. I'm looking forward to a great challenge against Idaho State tomorrow."
Montana State hosts the Bengals at 10 am on Sunday in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
