Bobcat Men's Tennis Team Opens Fall Play with Strong Showing at Boise State Dar Walters Invitational

Three newcomers help pace Cats in fall opener
Montana State won four of its eight two-man showdowns at the Dar Walters Invitational in Boise to open the men's tennis fall season last weekend.
The Bobcats featured the two-man teams of Dmitry Bezborodov and Nishant Dabas, and Andre Stewart and Harrison Janes. Bezborodov and Dabas beat Tristian Sarap and Jourdan Coutinho of Weber State 3-0, and Paul Theate and Remy Tegoures of Nevada 3-0. The lost to Dylan Jaen and Adam Duda of Boise State 2-1, and Lucas Hammond and Youssef Kadiri of Nevada 3-0. Dabas finished 3-1 in singles play while Bezborodov was 2-2. As a doubles tandem, they finished 2-2.
Stewart and Janes defeated Langdon Tingleaf and Luke Wolf of Air Force 3-0 and Axel Huysmans and Rayen Hermassi of Nevada 2-1. They lost to Connor Kruger and William Zulch of Weber State 2-1, and Adam Chodur and Alex Edmonston of BYU 3-0. Stewart finished the weekend 2-2 in singles play, while Janes was 1-3. They won three of their four doubles matches.
Results by individual and doubles teams are below. The Bobcats next outing is the Bedford Cup at Air Force Sept. 27-29.
