Montana State makes its final Big Sky Conference regular season road trip this week beginning at Sacramento State on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. (MT) in The Nest.
Montana State makes its final Big Sky Conference regular season road trip this week beginning at Sacramento State on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. (MT) in The Nest. The Bobcats will conclude the trip at Portland State, Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. (MT) in Viking Pavilion.

NEXT UP: Montana State closes out the Big Sky Conference season playing three games in five days, starting with a crucial road trip to Sacramento State and Portland State this weekend, before closing out at home on Monday night against Eastern Washington at 7 p.m. in Worthington Arena. Simply put, if the Bobcats win one of its remaining three games it will clinch a share of the Big Sky Conference regular season title. Two wins will give MSU the outright championship and the No. 1 seed at the conference tournament, March 4-8, in Boise, Idaho.
THE ONLY ONE IN BIG SKY HISTORY: Montana State senior point-guard Darian White continues to rewrite the Montana State and Big Sky Conference record books this season. This winter, the product of Boise, Idaho became the only player in Big Sky and MSU history to ever record 1,600 points (1,637), 500 rebounds (588), 400 assists (436) and 200 steals (254). White has played and started in 116 games at Montana State.
THE SCOUTING REPORT: Sacramento State is 13-12 overall and 9-5 in Big Sky Conference action after sweeping its road trip to Weber State and Idaho State, last weekend. The Hornets opened last week defeated the Wildcats 66-52, before making the trek to Pocatello, where it dispatched the Bengals 75-62. Sacramento State closes out its schedule with three home games – MSU, Montana and Portland State. On Jan. 28 the Bobcats had to rally from a 17-point first half deficit to defeat Sacramento State 61-60 in Worthington Arena as Kahlaijah Dean's off-balanced shot went astray. Dean finished the contest with 28 points, while Solape Amusan posted 18 points- all coming from beyond the three-point arc. SAC outscored MSU 36-23 in the first half, with the Bobcats returning the favor 38-24 in the final two quarters. Kola Bad Bear guided MSU with 17 points, while Darian White added 13. Montana State has won ten straight from the Hornets. The streak began on Jan. 5, 2019, at MSU handed SAC a 69-53 setback in The Nest. The Hornets last win over the Bobcats- 88-77 – came on Feb. 8, 2018, in Sacramento. On the season, SAC has been led by Dean, who averages 21.2 points per game, while 6-5 post player Isnelle Natabou chips in 15.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest.
