Bobcats Host Lewis-Clark State in Exhibition Tilt

Montana State opens its 2023-24 season when it hosts Lewis-Clark State in exhibition play, Saturday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
NEXT UP: Montana State opens its 2023-24 season when it hosts Lewis-Clark State in exhibition play, Saturday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. The Bobcats play a second exhibition at Carroll College on Nov. 4, before opening the regular season hosting BYU, Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m., as part of its annual School Day celebration.
SNEAK PEAK: Montana State returns eight letterwinners, including three starters from last year's squad that recorded a 20-11 overall mark and a 13-5 league ledger, en route to capturing a regular season Big Sky title. Returning starters include fifth-year Madison (Jackson) Hall, and seniors Lexi Deden and Katelynn Limardo. The Bobcats are under the direction of Tricia Binford, who enters her 19th season at the helm of the MSU program.
A LITTLE ABOUT LC STATE: Lewis-Clark State (Lewiston, Idaho) went 30-4 last winter, advancing to the NAIA Round of 16 where it lost to eventual national champion Clarke (Iowa). The Warriors won the Cascade Conference title last season with a 21-1 league slate. LC State returns three starters from last season's squad including Callie Stevens (5-6, Sr. G., 14 ppg, 3.4 apg), Ellie Sanders (5-9, Jr., G., 10.5 ppg, 5.1 rpg) and Maddie Holm (5-10, Sr., F., 9.9 ppg, 8.5 rpg). Caelyn Orlandi is in her first season as head coach of the program after serving six seasons as an assistant to long time LC State mentor Brian Orr. Orr served as an assistant coach at Montana State during the 2000-01 season.
