
Montana State Golf Closes Book on Eagle Invitational in Spokane

Bobcats place tenth as a team, with Jordan Briggs tying for 27th individually
SPOKANE, Washington – The Montana State women's golf team finished play at the Eagle Invitational on Tuesday, placing tenth after 54 holes at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane, Washington.
The Bobcats completed the tournament shooting a 926 (306-311-309). Full results can be viewed here.
Jordan Briggs led the way for MSU, tying for 27th with a 54-hole score of 227 (74-74-79).
Eva Heinz tied for 32nd, shooting 229 (76-77-76), with Lauren Greeny close behind in a tie for 38th with a 230 (77-76-77).
Heinz, a freshman from Goodyear, Arizona, tallied seven birdies over the three rounds while Greeny, a sophomore from Pullman, Washington, recorded one of the tournament's eight eagles in the second round on Monday.
Idaho secured a first-place finish with a two-day score of 872 (292-288-292). Weber State finished second with an 877 (292-286-299), and Cal State Northridge placed third with an 891 (295-299-297).
Idaho's Yvonne Vinceri took home the individual crown with a 4-under par 209 (71-68-70).
"Rough tournament for the Bobcats," head coach Brittany Basye said. "We have some fine tuning before we head south to Las Vegas."

After competing in three tournaments in three weeks, Montana State will stay home next weekend before traveling to Las Vegas to compete in The Clash at Boulder Creek from October 22-24.
The tournament, hosted by Northern Arizona at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada, will feature 20 teams from across the West.
The 54-hole competition will mark the final tournament of the fall season for the Bobcats before they resume in February.
