Bobcats Split Matches at Hurricane Invitational

The Montana State women's tennis team split a pair of matches as it opened its spring season at the Hurricane Invitational, Saturday at the University of Tulsa. MSU opened play dropping a 7-0 decision to Tulsa, before rebounding with a 4-2 win over Wyoming.
After trailing the Cowgirls 2-0, the Bobcats rattled off four consecutive singles victories. Maria Villarejo came back from a first set loss to notch a 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 win over Mihaela Kaftanova at No. 6 to secure the victory. The doubles point will be played on Sunday morning.
Tulsa took the opening doubles point and captured all six singles spots to sweep MSU on Saturday morning.
The Bobcats will face Louisiana Tech on Sunday to conclude play.
