BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Montana State women's golf team is preparing to return to action this spring as the Bobcats have scheduled three tournaments prior to the 2021 Big Sky Women's Golf Championship which is set to take place from April 19-21 in Molalla, Ore., at Arrowhead Golf Course.
The Bobcats last competed on March 11, 2020, when Montana State wrapped up play at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawai'i. Montana State was picked to finish eighth at this season's conference championship in the Big Sky coaches' preseason poll that was released on Jan. 25.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to get back on the golf course and being able to compete," Montana State head coach Brittany Basye said. "It'll be close to a year since our last competition. I know the team is very anxious to get to compete in the Blue and Gold."
Montana State will appear in a familiar slate of events, all located around the Phoenix area, prior to the Big Sky tournament.
The Bobcats will open their schedule on March 1-2 at the GCU Invitational held at the Grand Canyon University Golf Course. MSU makes its return to Arizona for its run-up to the Big Sky meet on April 5-6 by participating in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic held in Maricopa, Ariz., at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. The Bobcats play host the following week from April 12-13 in Goodyear, Ariz., as MSU takes part in the Bobcat Desert Classic at the Golf Club of Estrella.
