Bobcat Men's Tennis Program Nets National Academic Honors

Intercollegiate Tennis Association Lauds MSU Team, Two Bobcats
BOZEMAN, Montana – Two Montana State men's tennis players earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and the Bobcat team earned All-Academic Team status, the ITA announced.
Sophomores Nejc Sitar and Marcos Zelver earned ITA All-Scholar honors by meeting the minimum standards of a 3.50 grade point average. Sitar, from Maribor, Slovenia, finished the truncated 2020 season with a 5-4 record as Montana State's top singles player. Zelver, a Bozeman product, was 5-4 as the team's primary No. 3 singles player.
"Nejc Sitar and Marcos Zelver are truly class acts on and off the court," Morris said. "I could not be more thrilled to see their success in the classroom recognized at a national level."
The Montana State team earned All-Academic status by meeting the standard of a 3.20 team grade point average. The Bobcats finished the season with a 5-4 record. "I couldn't be more proud of the hard work these guys put forth in the classroom," Morris said. "For our whole team to really excel like this shows how well-rounded this group of men are."
