Montana State Cross Country Honored by USTFCCCA for Academic Prowess

Both of Montana State’s men’s and women’s squads were selected among the 428 Division I teams honored by the USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association announced its 2019 All-Academic Cross Country Teams on Thursday, Jan. 30. Both of Montana State's men's and women's squads were selected among the 428 Division I teams honored by the organization.

The Bobcat women's team accumulated a 3.55 grade-point average during the 2019 fall semester. Trisha Carlson, Anna French, Lexi Kyro, Madison Liechty, Gillian Maness and Camila Noe were previously recognized as 2019 Big Sky Conference Fall All-Academic Team selections. Noe garnered USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual honors Thursday as well for her All-America finish at the NCAA Championships in November.

The MSU men's team produced a 3.2 cumulative GPA during the last semester. Cameron Carroll, Gannon Chamberlain, Duncan Hamilton, Isaac Schmidt, Braden Stremcha and Cooper West were the Bobcats' selections to the conference's All-Academic Team this past fall.
