Hooper Paces Bobcats in Final Round at Ptarmigan Ram Classic

Kelly Hooper shot even-par during her final 18 holes at the Colorado State hosted tournament on Tuesday
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Montana State senior Kelly Hooper carded a final round even-par to lead the Bobcat golf team in the final round of the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Ptarmigan Country Club.
Hooper fired a 72 for her third round score to finish play with a 12-over-par 228. She was 3-over following the first six holes of her final round, but responded by recording four birdies over her next 12 holes. She finished the tournament by tying for 30th in the individual standings.
Delaney Elliott and Coral Schulz each shot a final round 80 on Tuesday. Elliott's 238 over 54 holes placed her in a tie for 53rd place while Schulz's 243 put her in a tie for 63rd. Rounding out MSU's final round lineup were Hailey Oster and Sofia Rodriguez Todd. Oster shot an 81 Tuesday and her 239 tied her for 54th. Rodriguez Todd placed 62nd by shooting a 242.
Montana State finished in 12th place with a team score of 944 (314-317-313). New Mexico State won the team title with 890 strokes. Boise State's Lexi Perry earned individual medalist honors by carding a 1-over 217.
The Bobcats are next scheduled to participate in the Rose City Collegiate on Sept. 30 in Aurora, Ore., for their third tournament of their fall slate.
