Cats Drop Big Sky Tennis Opener

Singles play was tightly contested as three of the six matches went into a third set.
CHENEY, Wash. – The Montana State women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Eastern Washington on Friday night in its Big Sky Conference opener.
Eastern Washington claimed the first point of the match winning the doubles point with victories at the Nos. 2 and 3 spots.
Singles play was tightly contested as three of the six matches went into a third set. The Bobcats captured wins at No. 2 singles, where sophomore Annie Walker rallied for a 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 win over Rylee Braeden. MSU picked-up its second point at No. 5 singles, where sophomore Enni Zander recorded a straight set 7-5, 6-1 win over Faye Worrall.
Montana State will play Idaho and Lewis and Clark State on Saturday in Lewiston.
