BOBCAT SCHOOL DAY: Montana State welcomes kids from all over the Treasure State to its third annual Bobcat School Day. MSU will host Carroll College, Monday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. in Worthington Arena. Last season, the Bobcats had a sold-out crowd of 6,772 in attendance as MSU defeated Carroll 64-48.
CATS LASSO AGGIES: Montana State wasted no time getting out to a seven-point first quarter lead and built its advantage to 28-points late in the third period before holding off UC Davis down the stretch to post a 77-65 victory over the Aggies in the season-opener for both squads on Friday night. Freshman Darian White, a product of Boise, Idaho, led the Bobcats in scoring (15), rebounding (6), assists (4) and steals (3). Also in double-figures for MSU were Martha Kuderer 14, Martell 13 and Oliana Squires 10. Madeline Smith and Blaire Braxton also guarded the glass with five boards, apiece.
A SERIES NOTE: Montana State has never lost to Carroll College, who was picked as the preseason favorite to win the Frontier Conference. The Bobcats have won 14 straight over the Saints dating back to Dec. 10, 1981.
